Cheltenham preparation

It can be useful to prepare for the Cheltenham Festival 2018 with some of the following techniques:

  • Mug/cover betting on accounts to build up a profile, rather than just taking offers all the time.
  • See our horse racing guides to learn about each-way betting, extra place offers, and rule 4.
  • Record keeping to keep track of offers and free bets due.
  • Remember that exchanges will combine liabilities when you lay different horses in a race. This will reduce the amount of float needed at the exchange.

Useful resource – thank you. No doubt many more opportunities will arise once the racing starts. I made about £400 profit from Cheltenham last year, and am hoping to double that this time round.

  2. Caz (InvisiblyMe)

Despite living close enough to find myself hugely annoyed by all of the (huge!) inconvenience of the races, I’ve never bet on them. Can’t say I’m a fan of horse racing at all but it’s certainly a great opportunity for betting! x
